Colours
The workshops introduce understanding colours and using a limited colour pallet of complementary colours. I like to use a tetrad of colors from the CMY color wheel. Following simple basic rules is really helpful. Of course, all rules are there to be broken, but this is a really great method – it just simply works. Selecting a pallet before starting a painting is a really great idea.
Materials
We paint using acrylics on quality paper (300/600 gram) and for the most part we paint on a flat table surface. We also use simple collage techniques, gell medium and Isopropyl-alcohol.
