Everything changed
I started painting on paper and everything changed. Such a simple shift made a world of difference! It’s hard to explain in just a few words, but I became completely hooked. I’m genuinely enthusiastic and eager to share this with others. I encourage everyone to give it a go. Just try it! Of course, I still paint on board or canvas now and then, but working on paper has made it all feel more fun.
A little about Pete
Over the years, I’ve developed a range of art workshops designed to help people build their skills and confidence. These sessions are grounded in practical exercises, honest critique, and a shared sense of discovery. Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or returning to a long-lost practice.
Workshops range from short team-building sessions to multi-day painting intensives, both in the Netherlands and abroad. My aim is to create a space where people feel free to take risks, experiment, enjoy and grow through the process.
I also share glimpses of my own practice in a video series called Paint with Pete offering an inside look at how paintings come together, from first sketch to final touches.
If you’re curious, creative, or just ready to shake off the rules and make a mess then you’re in the right place.
