Dynamic Painting
I decided to start over again from scratch. Letting go has been a great journey of discovery. You can see on these pages a complete change of style and method. Painting quickly, with abandon and using a ‘tetrad’ of colours for my pallet. It starts with painting on paper rather than canvas. Often making multiples of the same painting at the same time. Painting quickly with acrylics on cheap paper has given me the freedom to experiment. I don’t need to be so precious or afraid to mess up. In making multiples of the same – only one needed to be good. I am able to let go and relax. I spend more time experimenting. In starting this new project I learned more in just a couple of weeks than I did in many years. It’s more fun. I thought I’d call it a ‘Dynamic painting’ for the time being.
