Media3

This part 3 of the Media collection contains a number of paintings. These paintings were made on canvas that had been covered in newspaper and then a layer of acrylic binder. Initially I made a painting on newspaper covered canvas. It had a raw feeling and I liked it. On a rough, uneven, irregular surface – it seemed to work.  After-all we’re all imperfect stories unfolding – all influence by media – newspaper, film, television, – it colours us – Its there in our background. The 1 painting became a collection of 27 called ‘media’.
