This media collection is inspired by an initial painting that I made on newspaper covered canvas. It had a raw feeling and I liked it. On a rough, uneven, irregular surface – it seemed to work.  After-all we’re all imperfect stories unfolding – all influence by media – newspaper, film, television. It colors us, it’s there in our background. This part of the Media collection contains 6 paintings that tell, in some part, the story of Yumi (dancer and model) dancing on my canvas. Most of these paintings were made on canvas that had been covered in newspaper and then a layer of acrylic binder.
